Six beautiful posters of the train stations on the Darent Valley Line - a scenic railway line running between Swanley and Sevenoaks in Kent.

With stunning artwork created by an established British romantic artist Kit Boyd, these six posters reflect a love of nature and place. A lifelong fan of Victorian artist Samuel Palmer (who lived for a time in picturesque Shoreham, one of the stops on the line), it was wonderful that Kit had the chance to record his own responses to this beautiful area.  Having spent time exploring the towns, villages and countryside, Kit’s final artworks include a variety of responses, with several vibrant linocuts, one detailed ink drawing and a serene watercolour.

With graphic design by Tim Higginson of Queste Design, the posters echo the wonderful travel posters produced at the height of rail travel in the 1920s and 30s.  The promotion of sustainable travel is still of utmost importance, and these colourful images will not only encourage more rail travel but also look amazing on your wall at home or work.

Choose between A4, A3 and A2 sizes and matt or glossy paper.  All posters come with a white border to allow for frame overlap.  Purchasers must pay for their own shipping costs within the order.

Any profits made from the sale of these posters will be directed back into community work or sustainable travel initiatives, under the auspices of the Darent Valley Community Rail Partnership, a not-for-profit group set up in 2019 to promote rail travel in the area.
